Ramona This doll is discontinued but so much better than the one [...] has replaced it with. Good water toy because the water drains right out. The new one on the shelves is electronic and talks. It's pretty annoying and who wants batteries in a water toy? I find my kid plays much more creatively with toys that don't think or talk for her. That's why I hunted this one down.

SweetCandiCane The Disney Bathtime Princess Ariel Doll is so cute and adorable! I purchased this doll for my twin grandbabies and they absolutely loved it! They take the doll into the bath with them. They put the doll in her float while they put water on it's hair. This is a Great Gift item!

Melissa the busy mom! I read the reviews before buying this doll, and the reviews were not very good! But I decided to buy the doll anyway to give it a try, and I am happy I did! The doll is super cute, the hair is nice!(people noted in reviews that the doll had fabric in her hair that they couldn't get out, but all you have to do is remove the stitching and it came right off! [...]) She may not float straight up in the little ring she has on, but my kids do not care! They are to busy making her swim and imaginative play! Great for bathime and out of bath! And yes... she has on a bikini! She is the little mermaid! The same thing she wears in the movie! I think some expectations were set to high for a [$] doll! Overall, We think it is a good buy, and fun for bathtime! I bought 3! My 4 year old got one and my 2 year old twin daughters.

Aaron Bath time and play time with water or not. It may not float perfectly and adults may have issues with its design. Perhaps they paid full price? I have an attachment to a pump for the innertube so I didn't have to blow it up myself and it has stayed inflated fairly well. I recommend this doll at a price of thirteen dollars or less.

Momof 2Bs My daughter likes this enough, but the tube around Ariel's waist has never worked. It's almost impossible to blow it up. I think the thing you blow in is almost completely sealed. Then, once you have broken blood vessels from trying to get it filled with air, the spout you blow in doesn't stay closed! So she played with it with a deflated tube most of the time. (When it was filled, the tube didn't hold her up anyway. The Doll was too top heavy). Finally, last week, I just got a pair of scissors and cut the tube off. :)

seachanger This Ariel doll is so much more age appropriate for toddlers than the barbie looking Ariel dolls. She is great in the bath, her hair doesn't get tangled, and the accessories are super. The stripes in her hair change color in warm water or cold water. The flipper is made of a more rubbery material so you can stand the doll against something and she won't slide down. And she is really pretty. My little girl really loves her, and she doesn't normally play with dolls.

We've had this doll for a while and she's been in the bath everyday. We haven't had any problems with mildew. You have to let the doll drain well after a bath and turn it around and upside down and bend the waist back and forth while you do it. There are holes in the tail and it also drains from the waist. Since the holes are always open and the plastic is hard (unlike in bath duckies and such which form a vacuum) the doll air dries well on the inside, no mildew.

Jlynn My daughter loves Ariel so we got this for her 3rd birthday. She loves it, but it's just OK. Ariel's hair doesn't change much, just one tiny strand, and she doesn't really do anything else. My daughter enjoys playing with her in the tub though.

Grandma Just got this for my 3 yr old granddaughter, she was so excited when we opened it, however the doll had plastic stitched on her hair that was very hard to remove. I wasn't even sure if it was supposed to be removed. Also, looks like the bottom piece can be removed, I was afraid I'd break it so I left it alone. No instructions. Gave it 3 stars because she has great hair, but that was about it.

Juju's Mom My daughter got this as a gift, and after reading the reviews I was a little nervous - however we love this doll!! I have no problems with the floaty she wears, or any other complaints I read...Also, we play with this in the tub - I don't fill the tub high enough to see if the doll completely floats, and to tell you the truth it doesn't spend that much time floating around the tub, it is mostly in my daughter's hands being played with.

Great little tub/pool toy - and the hair dries relatively quickly - so it makes it a good "out of water" toy as well....also, I love the bikini? She is Ariel...a mermaid.
